Olle Eklund is Deputy Managing Director of CAMP Scandinavia. The group develops orthopaedic-technical products with the main focus on the orthosis field.
CAMP Scandinavia consists of two activities: the traditional Scandinavian part that distributes orthopaedic products via local subsidiaries and the new part in the form of the brand Allard International.

explains Olle Eklund.
Added value for users
CAMP Scandinavia was founded in 1954.
"From day one, the goal has been to develop innovative orthopaedic-technical solutions that give a lot of added value to the users.”
To achieve this, CAMP Scandinavia cooperates with experts and specialists in different fields.
"For example, we have an orthopaedist on the board and good contacts with a professor of orthopaedic technology in Lund. There are also many orthopaedic engineers, physiotherapists and occupational therapists working in the company, in development as well as in customer service.”
The Healthcare Technology Alliance is another important part of the group’s network.
"Our membership of the Alliance has led to a new product. It comes from project work in the programme for biotechnology engineers at Halmstad University. The contacts also led us to a new manufacturer for our existing products.”
Valuable contacts
Olle Eklund appreciates the seminars, meetings and company get-togethers arranged by the Healthcare Technology Alliance.
"The opportunity to make new contacts is valuable to us. There are periods when nothing happens with relations, but then suddenly an important contact crops up.”
The geographic proximity to students, researchers and other companies in healthcare technology is also a clear benefit.
“If an interesting contact crops up, you just hop in your car and go there.”
CAMP Scandinavia is undergoing a period of rapid growth.
"Not least our home markets in the Nordic countries and the USA; they are doing very well. The sales pressure places high demands on everything from logistics to storage areas, but these are nice problems,” says
Olle Eklund.
